Our vision and record

Arkisys is not developing a collection of unrelated spacecraft products. We are removing the barriers a customer encounters, one by one, from an idea on Earth to sustained operations in space.

  • Our Start in 2019 . Founded in Los Alamitos, California, to build reusable, serviceable infrastructure for low Earth orbit.

  • First Flight in 2021. Our 1st Applique technology launched in 2021 and still operating today.

  • First Autonomous Assembly in 2023. Demonstrated in 1G end-to-end Port Architecture with Cutter dock, offload cargo and then assemble autonomously a 3-axis spacecraft, in 1 hour.

  • Selected in 2025 by NASA for Astrobee. Selected by NASA  as the commercial sustaining partner for Astrobee on the ISS, under a Space Act Agreement through 2030.

  • First Astrobee Ops for JAXA 2025-2026. Arkisys 1st ops with Astrobee’s "Bumble" and "Honey" aboard the ISS was for JAXA’s Kibo Robot Programming Challenge.

Why we're here

Commercial low Earth orbit is no longer just a destination. It is becoming an operating environment — and it is open for business.

ISAM doesn't begin when a robotic arm touches another satellite.
It begins when we stop treating every mission as a one-off spacecraft.

Validate the payload. Standardize the interface. Use existing infrastructure. Transport it where it needs to go. Connect it to persistent infrastructure. Operate it. Upgrade it. Service it. Use it again.

That is the economy Arkisys is building and operating today — and Astrobee is proving that model in orbit.

Our program at Nihonbashi Space Week will explore how Japan and the US can work together to accelerate this commercial ecosystem and expand the ISAM economy.

The Arkisys path to ISAM

1  VALIDATE

PILOT™ — Know before you fly. AI-assisted, engineer-verified payload readiness, compliance, integration and mission preparation.

2  CONNECT

APPLIQUE — Don’t redesign your payload for every spacecraft. A universal data and interface translator that accommodates common customer protocols and connects them into the Arkisys and wider ISAM orbital ecosystem.

3  PROVE

ASTROBEE — Validate what matters to you: your payload, software or technology. Use existing orbital infrastructure instead of building another spacecraft.

4  TRANSPORT

CUTTER — Last-mile orbital transportation. Launch on available rideshare opportunities worldwide, operate independently, deliver payloads, and ultimately rendezvous and dock with Port infrastructure.

5  HOST · AGGREGATE · SERVICE

PORT — Persistent, modular orbital infrastructure. Add payloads and capability after launch, rather than freezing the entire architecture before launch.

6  OPERATE

HARBORMASTER — Manage payloads, interfaces, resources and Port operations as one connected system.

↻  REPEAT

Repeatability is the economic story behind Arkisys ISAM.
